Hi there, my name is Tarek Nwaryar, and I’m 22 years old. I’m here at Arden Park Dental Care just recapping my Invisalign story. So basically, I’ve had my canine right here, that has been a little higher and overlapping with some of my other teeth for a few years. After my mom had taken me to some other dentists and orthodontists, they were telling me different things like, “Oh, it won’t work with Invisalign, you have to get braces,” or “Even if you get braces, you still probably have to remove a tooth or two to get your teeth to align properly.”

We didn’t really want to do that, so after a few years, my mom decided to come to Dr. Formoli and ask her about it to see if she could do something for us. She said, “Yeah, we can definitely do Invisalign. Invisalign should work fine.” I think for me, it took about a year and a half because of the positioning of my teeth, but I stuck to it. I did my job, I made sure I stuck to the two hours out maximum, never went a minute over that the whole time. Now, my teeth are aligned properly. You can see it’s no longer overlapping with my other teeth. It’s lower now in the correct spot, and I’m very happy with that. I got my retainer today to take care of that. It’s a little bit more of a journey from here on with retainers, but after about, I think, just one more year of being responsible with it like I have been so far, I’m very confident I can do that. I’m all set pretty much. I just only need to have it in for 12 hours a day as opposed to 22 hours, and I’m very happy with that. I definitely recommend it. Definitely come here if people have told you need to get your teeth taken out. If you want your bite to align properly, check with Dr. Formoli first because, as with me, I did not need any teeth taken out. I didn’t need to go specifically with braces, and Invisalign worked great for me. I’m very happy with it.

Speaker 1: This is Gail Gifford, and she is a patient here at Arden Park Dental Care, and she recently received some implants with Dr. Formoli. Is going to tell us a little bit about how the procedure went. All right.
Speaker 2: Okay. Well, I came to this office highly recommended. I always had a very fear of dentists and my smile and being here, it was a day procedure. It was wonderful. Everything went very, very well. Instructed from the beginning, concise information. I like that the staff is friendly. Dr. Formoli and the staff are all highly supportive, so I felt very welcomed into their family.
Speaker 1: Very good. And can you tell me a little bit about what you didn’t like about your smile prior to the implants?
Speaker 2: I had upper dentures, all my teeth removed a few years back, and the upper dentures just never, they would fit right as if I’d put a lot of glue on them. I didn’t like doing that. It was just embarrassing. It was very difficult. I’d find my jaw would hurt at times, so my greatest worry was bone loss. And finding Dr. Formoli was definitely one of the biggest plus in my dental life I’ve ever had.
Speaker 1: Okay, perfect. Very good. And how many implants did you get?
Speaker 2: I received six implants.
Speaker 1: Great. And how long did the procedure take?
Speaker 2: It was a day procedure. I was quite surprised, and I was very happy with the result.
Speaker 1: Okay, perfect. And would you recommend Dr. Formoli for anyone looking at getting implants?
Speaker 2: I would highly recommend Dr. Formoli. I would stand behind her and her staff. She follows through all the way. She explains everything to me. She puts my fears to bed. She expands everything on the computer. And it was actually, to me, I just felt welcomed, and I felt like this was a place I was supposed to be and I’m so happy with it so far.

Speaker 1: Hi Robert, so you had about six front veneers placed by Dr. Formoli, can you tell me a little bit of why you wanted to get that procedure done?
Speaker 2: Sure. So growing up I had kind of brittle teeth baby kind of gappy they were shortening from the way that my bite worked and were all kind of unhealthy and didn’t look great. So I talked to Dr. Formoli about what getting next to teeth could be and checked amended veneers and the whole process of that.
Speaker 1: Okay perfect and how did your visit here go with or can you describe a little bit about your treatment with Dr. Formoli on getting those veneers placed?
Speaker 2: Sure. First, we did maybe a year and a half of Invisalign trays, containing the rest of the teeth where they needed to be, and it was kind of an interesting situation since I was going to school in San Diego at the time. So I come up or like holiday breaks and get treatments done and while I was here and Dr. Formoli is very accommodating of my needs for that and trying to take things out well. She and Olga are always really great and talked me through everything and overall I think is a good experience as far as getting a sense of work on your teeth done.
Speaker 1: Okay perfect and how would you say you would feel after the treatments been done?
Speaker 2: Good, I feel like much healthier teeth now. Get a lot of compliments on how they look. Absolutely happy to smile, I think.
Speaker 1: Okay very good and would you recommend your friends and family if someone was looking for possibly getting veneers or a smile makeover?
Speaker 2: Yeah definitely, Dr. Formoli she’s great and great staff very nice.

Speaker 1: This is Terrance, and he recently received a smile makeover with Dr. Formoli and Terrance can you tell me a little bit about the condition of your teeth when you first came to see Dr. Formoli?
Speaker 2: Well, the reason I needed something is every time I would talking to friends and coworkers, my hand was always like this. I had no front teeth and the bottoms were in such bad shape that I was forever holding my hand. I would laugh, I would always put my head down
when I laughed, and I was looking for a professional who would be able to restore my smile the way it was 10 years ago. I think she did a very good job.
Speaker 1: Excellent. And can you tell me just a little bit about how it has changed your life since having your new smile restored?
Speaker 2: Well, I say good morning to everybody looking dead in the eye and say, have a nice day, and no more hand over my face. It is fabulous. A lot more confidence.
Speaker 1: That’s great. I’m so happy and I’m just going to come in a little bit and show the teeth the beautiful new teeth. Perfect. Thank you very much.

Speaker 1: This is Amy. She recently had a smile makeover with Dr. Formoli at Arden Park Dental Care. Amy, can you tell me a little bit about what was going on and why you wanted to get a smile makeover?
Speaker 2: Yeah, so I wasn’t too happy with my teeth before. They were kind of yellow and was having some breakage on the ends from grinding my teeth and just wear and tear. And I also wasn’t happy with the amount of gums that showed when I smiled. So now with my new teeth, Dr. Formoli did some lasering on my gums, so there are less gums when I, they’re perfectly white and straight and I’m very happy with them.
Speaker 1: Very good. And what were you trying to achieve when you came in to see Dr. Formoli?
Speaker 2: I just wanted to have more confidence in my smile. I wasn’t really sure what I was wanting to do. Other dentists had suggested veneers before. I’m like, yeah, that sounds like a good idea. So when she said that and came up with a plan, I’m like, yeah, let’s do it.
Speaker 1: Perfect. And how has it been since having your new smile?
Speaker 2: I’m definitely smiling a lot more, wanting to show them off more, and people have commented like, wow, you just seem so happy and smiley. I’m like, yeah, yeah, that’s what I want to do now. Just smile and show them off.
Speaker 1: Okay, perfect. And would you recommend Dr. Formoli to anyone else?
Speaker 2: Of course. Yeah, definitely. I would definitely recommend her. She did a great job and I’m very, very happy with her work.

Speaker 1: This is Angiani and she’s been a patient with Dr. Formoli for many years and she’s just going to tell us a little bit about some of the treatments she’s done.
Speaker 2: Well, background, I’ve always had problems with my teeth. Going to the dentist is one of the first memories I have in childhood, and one of the problems is that I have a short jaw with powerful muscles, so I wind up grinding my teeth down in the front until they were stubby. So one of the things we did, we had to put veneers on the bottom. So naturally we had to put them on the top. And besides protecting them, it also made a really big difference in the way my face looks. So I was pleased with the results and because I’ve always had problems for some reason with my teeth, I wind up having a pretty good number of implants done. Dr. Formoli did a couple more and she fixed the ones that were starting to be loose from previous work, which entailed her having to go do research to find out what the hardware was that she was going to need. But she found out and she got it all straightened out. And finally, big problem I have with dentistry is that I’m a really first-class coward, so this is a nice place for that. People like me don’t get too scared.

Speaker 1: This is Anaria and she recently received two dental implants with Dr. Formoli. Can you tell us a little bit about what you were experiencing prior to receiving the implants?
Speaker 2: Yes. Prior to receiving the implants, I was having to chew on some of my front teeth and I only have one wisdom teeth in the back. And that got quite a workout and it was starting to, the top teeth were starting to recede. So because of the gum exposure, the root exposure, the implants would provide me with a better, what would say the rest of my teeth and it would provide better chewing for the future. I can eat a steak with, I’ll having to chew for 20 minutes.
Speaker 1: Okay, great. And how did the actual procedure go with receiving the implants?
Speaker 2: Oh, the procedure was wonderful. It was a very pleasant experience even as far as the injection to numb the anesthesia to numb you. I didn’t even feel it when she numbed me.
Speaker 1: Okay, great. And tell me a little bit about how the healing went.
Speaker 2: Oh, the healing was, it was wonderful. I had sutures for about a week. I did the salt water rinse and the mouthwash rinse. And as long as you do those two things, the healing goes fine within the normal time.

Speaker 1: This is Candace and she recently received a dental implant with Dr. Formoli.
Speaker 2: Hi. So earlier in the year, I had a molar extracted, so I needed a new tooth. Dr. Formoli just advised me that I should get an implant, and I was a little worried that it would be something really painful and a long drawn out process, but it was actually really easy, really simple. When I got here, the whole procedure took about an hour. It was completely pain-free. The recovery time was pain-free, and that was like, I didn’t even need any medication. I was literally completely fine. So I thought it was a great experience and I’m glad that I get to keep my tooth or get a new tooth in actually. And hopefully it’ll be stronger than that ever. So I’m really excited about it.

Speaker 2: Hello, about three years ago, I tripped and loosened some teeth. I wanted them fixed because they kept getting looser and looser. I found Dr. Formoli came over here and asked if I could have implants done. She looked at me and said it was totally possible to do it, so we did it. Did it the last Friday, did four. Felt no pain when she did them. Didn’t put me to sleep, just my jaw or whatever. Felt no pain at all. No discomfort except when she pulled my mustache one time and went home Friday with my pills for pain and inflammation. Never felt any pain. Only took two pills out of four. Never felt any inflammation. Other than that just felt great. No jaw pain, hardly no bleeding. Just did a real good job. I’m really happy with no pain, no nothing. Really good job she did. So happy that I came in and found her.

Speaker 2: At least when I smile now, I don’t have to smile with my lips covering my teeth, I can smile and not be afraid to smile. I’m happy with my teeth.
